Quick answers for importing drafts, using the editor, working with grammar correction and exporting files that are easier to review on desktop and mobile.

Which files can I upload today?

Draft2ebook accepts manuscript source files: TXT, Markdown and DOCX. Legacy DOC files should be saved as DOCX first for cleaner text extraction and more reliable chapter detection.

How does PDF export work?

The PDF generator builds a new book file from the edited manuscript, selected template, cover settings and illustrations. It does not rely on the browser print dialog, so the result is more predictable on desktop and mobile.

Can I use the EPUB with Send to Kindle?

Yes. EPUB export is prepared with Kindle-friendly navigation, metadata and image handling, so it can be uploaded through Amazon Send to Kindle. Amazon may still convert the file internally before delivering it to a device.

Why is there no MOBI export?

MOBI is a legacy Kindle format. Draft2ebook focuses on EPUB because it is the current, cleaner format for modern readers and for Amazon's Send to Kindle service.

Can I edit chapters after detection?

Yes. You can edit titles, add chapters, merge or split sections and change chapter content before export. The live preview updates while you work.

How does grammar correction behave?

Grammar correction is designed for punctuation, accents, spacing and light proofreading. Changes are shown in a comparison view before they are applied, and the last correction can be undone from the editor.

Where are my projects saved?

Projects are saved in your personal account area. Heavy cover and illustration files are stored server-side so larger books do not overload browser storage.

Is my manuscript private?

Local processing is used whenever possible, and optional correction features are only triggered when you choose them. Each logged-in account sees only its own saved books.
